Oxford Saïd Business School adds online course in blockchain strategy

Nov. 20, 2017

The Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford has partnered with GetSmarter, a subsidiary of education technology provider 2U Inc., to introduce an online blockchain strategy short course for executives.

The Oxford Blockchain Strategy Programme will offer a fundamental understanding of where blockchain can be used, how it works, and its structural and market implications.

The course is designed for senior executives, managers and other professionals with an interest in blockchain, and will provide them with an actionable strategy to respond to blockchain and incorporate it into their long-term business planning.

Participants will learn about two frameworks developed specifically for the short course: Oxford Blockchain Strategy; and Oxford Blockchain Regulation. The course also will include guest speakers — including entrepreneurs, technologists and financiers in the blockchain sector — in addition to video interviews and lectures.

Upon successful completion of the short course, participants will receive a certificate of attendance from Saïd Business School and access to the Oxford Saïd Executive Education alumni network.

The short course will begin Feb. 28, with six modules over six weeks.
