Nuco wins Canadian government funding on blockchain identity management platform

Nuco, a blockchain startup, has received government funding under the Small Business Innovation Challenge program from the Ontario Centres of Excellence in Ontario, Canada. The company plans to use the funding to develop a digital identity verification solution, according to a press release.

The solution will enable users to control the information they reveal, and will synchronize data across all government agencies into one digital identification application. Smart contracts will help ensure only people who the right permissions can access the data.

"We're honored to be recognized by the Government of Ontario in our efforts to build solutions with blockchain technology," Matthew Spoke, CEO of Nuco, said in the release. "We look forward to working with Ontario’s government and business leaders to apply innovations to build a better future."
