Entrepreneurs to launch blockchain private equity investment fund

Nov. 29, 2016

Jason Granger and Charlie Shrem, entrepreneurs and blockchain technology advocates, are preparing to launch a private equity investment platform powered by the Ethereum blockchain and a structured organizational framework focused on transparency and sound investment strategy, according to a press release.

Token holders will own 30 percent of Mainstreet Investment L.P. while Intellisys Capital LLC will own 70 percent.

Blockchain technology will be used to facilitate and administer the decentralized fund, which includes token purchasing, dividend payouts and dissemination of investor information.

Intellisys will allocate 30 percent of Mainstreet Investment’s funds toward investment in bitcoin and blockchain-specific ventures.

To get the project started, Mainstreet Investment will raise funds by distributing an Ethereum-based token, dubbed "MIT" (Mainstreet Investment Token). The initial token offering is slated to begin on Jan. 15, 2017, and slated to end April 1, 2017.
