Byteball debuts bot for IBM World Community Grid
Byteball, a cryptocurrency platform, has launched its WCG Bot, which will pay members in Gbytes tokens for offering their computing processing power to the IBM World Community Grid.
The grid uses contributed computing power to help scientists in their work on issues related to health and environmental sustainability. The platform is part of Byteball's effort to integrate cryptocurrency with real world issues, according to the release.
The WCG bot connects users' WCG accounts to their Byteball wallets and deposits Gbytes based on their contributions.
"We are happy to reward users who contribute to solving global problems using World Community Grid," Byteball founder Anton Churyumoff said in the release.
