Bitcoin fair hosted in Atlanta

The Bitcoin Consumer Fair will be hosted in Atlanta on the weekend of April 18, 2015. The Fair is part of a larger initiative to make Atlanta more bitcoin friendly.

Currently, 24 shops in downtown Atlanta accept bitcoins according to a report by WABE. At the Fair, speakers will educate attendees on how to utilize virtual currency for commerce.

"Unlike some technologies, bitcoin is going to grow slowly until it reaches a critical mass, and then you’ll see widespread use," organizer of the Bitcoin Fair, Jason Cronk said. Currently, 100 people have registered for the event.
