Axoni adds Citi to funding group

Citi has joined the Series A funding round for distributed ledger provider Axoni, bringing the company's total to more than $10 million, according to a press release.  

Axoni is a New York-based capital markets technology firm whose product offerings include distributed ledger technology deployments, bespoke smart contract development and analytics tools.

"Having the support and domain expertise of a world-class institution such as Citi will allow us to execute our vision even more broadly and rapidly. We are delighted to have Citi join Axoni’s investor group," Greg Schvey, CEO of Axoni, said in the release.

Wells Fargo, J.P. Morgan, Goldman Sachs, F-Prime Capital, Thomson Reuters, NEX Group and others also participated in the company's Series A funding round.
